Bicycling

Today I rode a bicycle.  This might not seem like a big thing to you, but it was an accomplishment for me.  As a kid I never rode a bicycle without training wheels, and I wasn't allowed out of the yard.  So I never learned to handle traffic, or developed balance.  I tried it once or twice as an adult and either fell off or nearly crashed into a tree.  So, my brilliant husband ordered me a very cool tricycle.  No, not one for children, I'm not training to be a circus clown.  This one is for adults and is way cool.  He ordered it from Industrial Bicycles.  They were great in helping me choose the right model.  BUT-  their advice that we could assemble it easily in a few hours was WAY off.  We took a look at the number of parts and complexity of assembly and promptly delivered it to the nearest bike shop and begged them to do it for us.  So, Beach Bums on Anna Maria Island did the hard part.  A few days later I had a gorgeous tricked out trike and I learned to ride it today.
